It's supported on open sources such as "Quakespasm" and "DirectQ", i only used this 2 source ports, they are the only ones i got the music to work. the team who did this TC did really care about making something awsome from the quake engine. for starters it actually has a plot, voice acting and banging soundtrack!. "Malice" is an awsome Total Conversion of Quake.
